The clay deposits in the cliffs of Aquinnah date back 100 million years.  While recent erosion has significantly reduced them, the bands of different colored clay are particularly beautiful, especially in the late afternoon sun.  In this composition, I could almost see an image of the cliffs themselves within the clay..!
