GAZE OF THE GULL

Herring Gulls are true survivors, and one of the most successful of birds. They are highly adaptable, skilled hunters, and constantly exhibit problem solving intelligence. Coastal roadways are littered with shattered clams they've dropped to open, and anyone's beach picnic left unattended is likely to be raided. This one was patiently stalking a shallow estuary, and warily calculating my presence.
